SERMON: A Time For Peace
SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 2:1-4
RESPONSIVE READING—A NON-TRADITIONAL BLESSING

Leader: Our God, who is our creator God, our Heavenly Father.
Everyone: Bless Us With discomfort with easy answers; half-truths and superficial relationships.
Leader: Bless us with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people.
Everyone: Bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war.
Leader: Bless us with enough foolishness to believe that we can make a difference in the world.
Everyone: In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH—CCNB MISSION STATEMENT
Embracing God's gift of Jesus' life as our example, and the Holy Spirit as our guide that attracts, welcomes, serves and supports all ages and all people, ever challenged to live in harmony and joy with greater faith, hope and love. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. Jesus didn't turn people away. Neither Do We.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
